There’s an interview with Franco Nero up on Obsessed with Film. Franco Nero had only this to say about his involvement with Django Unchained:
“I’ve never had an offer. I know only that Tarantino likes me a lot.”
Nero goes on in the interview to say that he wants Quentin Tarantino to make a cameo in Nero’s upcoming film The Angel, the Bad and the Wise.
Django is a spaghetti western movie by director Sergio Corbucci. Produced in 1966, Django was considered at the time to be one of the most violent films ever made. Django is said to be a major influence on Django Unchained (obviously–just look at the name!). There is even speculation that Franco Nero, who played the eponymous character, will be involved in Django Unchained in some capacity. Watch the Django trailer below:
